Auburn Ainsley moves in at Meadowhall

Construction project management and cost consultancy company Auburn Ainsley has moved to Meadowhall Business Park to join NG Bailey as anchor tenants.

Auburn Ainsley has relocated from Rotherham to take 2,215 sq ft on the second floor of block three at ARBA Group’s multi-million pound refurbishment project, at Meadowhall’s rapidly developing commercial centre

Auburn Ainsley works predominantly with the National Health Service and other healthcare providers, as well as local authorities, housing associations, educational establishments, property developers Prison Service, banking institutions, licensed premises, sporting facilities and commercial clients, mainly across the Midlands and North of England.

Director Andy Wigfield said: “We have taken a lease on new HQ at Meadowhall Business Park as a strategic move to ensure we are well positioned to meet future business challenges.

“The location of our new headquarters is perfect for our needs and allows for easy motorway access, which is important as we cover a wide geographic area.”

The 70,000 sq ft park, located close to the new Ikea development and adjacent to Meadowhall Shopping Centre, is undergoing a full refurbishment by ARBA Group after it was purchased from the council in 2016 and is now being marketed by Knight Frank & Campbell & Co.

The site offers five, low-level, modern office blocks which are being upgraded to a specification fit-out and positioned to offer a viable alternative to more costly city-centre space.

Richard Burns, Director at ARBA Group, said: “Meadowhall Business Park was a speculative refurbishment project for us, but we knew that Meadowhall was advancing as a commercial district in its own right.

“We are seeing an extraordinary level of interest in the offices as businesses look for space which offers the best in terms of value and location. Auburn Ainsley is a well-known South Yorkshire business and the site offers exactly what they require.”

Developments at Meadowhall include the construction of a new 370,000 sq ft IKEA superstore – due to open end of this summer, the £300m expansion of Meadowhall Shopping Centre, and the completion of new supercar showrooms for Porsche and Mercedes Benz.
